Espanso Text Expander

Espanso is an 'open-source' text expander that is installed and configured natively in Windows, this type of programme allows you to supercharge your writing, speed up your workflows and perform impressive functions using just a few short keywords.

For example, typing ;rmk into the Pegasus remarks field would allow to automatically inject standard remarks instantly, speeding up the process and getting through a booking before those dreaded SIM changes, because we all know Pegasus sends the booking confirmation way before you actually finish!

You can also go one step further and create a form that pops up whenever the keyword is triggered, type in the NAME and PRICING OPT and end up with MR HILL CTC DP DNE // READBACK SCRIPT COMPLETED // READBACK NAMES PHONETICALLY // T AND CS ADVISED // ANTHONYH WARRINGTON

Installing the programme

To download and install the programme visit the developer installation site on https://espanso.org/install/

Getting started

Once you have downloaded and installed Espanso, you will see the icon appear in the taskbar notification area in the bottom right of the screen.

You can verify that Espanso has been installed and is functioning correctly by opening notepad and typing :espanso and this should automagically be replaced by 'Hi there!' which means the programme is installed and running.
